中国是世界文化史上久盛不衰、大放异彩的“玉器之邦”。中华民族是尊玉、崇玉、爱玉的民族，有着世界上其他民族无法比拟的八千年的玉文化历史。在漫长的岁月中，玉器被人们赋予了神秘的色彩，承载着人们的精神寄托，深深地植根于中国传统文化之中，在社会生活的许多方面，发挥着其它艺术品无法替代的作用。本书主要介绍了我国不同时期、不同地点的具有代表性的玉器文化。

 

Yu Ming Graduated from Beijing NormalUniversity with master's degree, Yu Ming is nowdeputy director of Beijing Jade Culture ResearchCenter, director of Jade Collection Committeeof the China Collector's Association. For manyyears, Yu has been dedicated to the research ofjade ware and the dissemination of jade culture.Yu has published many books including One ofthe Origins of China's Civilization——HongshanCulture, A Complete Collection of UnearthedJade Ware in China and won the awards forbest books on cultural relics. Yu also publisheda dozen of essays and participated in theplanning for the seven-episode documentaryChina's Ancient Jade Culture of the CCTV. Formany times, Yu presided over seminars onChina's jade ware.
